questions about putting in a B16a2

Default questions about putting in a B16a2

so i'm new to the whole car world and i just bought my friends 94 eg shell and soon to get a complete b16a swap what do i else do i need besides besides the swap to insure everything goes smoothly and i can get it all done that day?

also what motor mount kit should i use?

well if ur going to put a b16a2 into your eg you cant use the engine harness (if it comes with one) and you cant use the distributor because all that is obd-2 and ur car is obd1

i put a obd2 gsr motor into my eg and i ran into the same problems.......but what i did with the distributor was change the clips to obd1 so i didnt have the buy an obd1 distributor

for the mounts you can use any 94+ aucra integra stock mounts or you can get hasport aftermarket mounts

No, because a B16A1 or a 1st-gen JDM B16A is pre-OBD and comes with different mounts, shift linkage, and a cable-clutch transmission. Not to mention an engine manufactured earlier than the chassis is illegal for emissions in many states.

What you need is either a 2nd-gen JDM B16A or a B16A3.
