How do you take it off? And where/what does it look like? Need help for a friend asap.

 

unplug ECU, carefully pull the ECU plugs (3 of them) through the hole in the firewall, then disconnect both of the main plugs from the chassis to the harness (1 on each side of the engine bay). Then basically just start disconnecting plugs till everything is off. That should be right, but I'm just going from memory..

 

Forgot to add, the motor is already out of the car and unplugged from ECU. He just doesn't know what it looks like or how to unplug it from the motor. Is it just clips?

 

it's various types of plugs. If it's on the motor out of the car, then it's just common sense. It looks like a confusing black spiderweb of wires with plugs/clips that connect to the motor in dozens of places. It's EZ.

Is the whole wiring harness ALL the wired on the engine? There's wire that are on the harness that go to like the dizzy that aren't plugs, what am I supposed to do about those?

 

unscrew them from the alternator/starter
thats the only place there should be a screwed on connection
