Default 05 Accord Forum?

Mods I mean no disrespect to the board, but I would like to know if anyone has a link to a forum that is geared more to the Accord. I LOVE Honda-Tech but the accord section is bunched into one instead of by Generation. I would like to gather some ideas and it's a little time conuming scanning through the post.
Thanks.

2003 - 2006 = 7th gen. There are more and more 7th gen Accord owners joining up every day. I guess it's a good thing that you don't here more about the 7th gens on honda-tech. That means they're not having a lot of problems with them.

Yes, also visit ********, thats where most of the 7th gen pioneers are. Lots of information at gen7accord.com also, you will see me both places.

Still visit H-T for technical/mechanical information because there are many old hands here who know their stuff (like BLKFLSH).

Main problems for the 7th gen accord (that I have seen on here at least) was the auto tranny recall for 03 or 04 and there have been a number of bad secondary o2 sensors. Besides that, you'll have to ask the actual techs on here what the problems have been.

We can't let people recommend other boards in a thread here, but I also have to admit that there is a dearth of information about 7 Gen Accords.

I'd love to have an additional moderator in here who owns a 7 Gen, and who is articulate and intelligent enough to advise fellow owners.

couldnt agree more....

it made sense to couple the 4th and 5th gens together, since its pretty much the same car...for the most part, the same can be said for the 6th gen. however the 7th gen is a COMPLETELY different beast....the 3 previous at least all shared a similar drivetrain...but the k series motor is so different, that it really needs a new wealth of knowledge. personally, i think its fine having everything in one forum...and frankly there is a wealth of knowledge on HT slowly developing on the 7th gens.

i have no idea what other website you guys are recomending, but i suggest you maybe try and get some of them to join up on HT...theres so many resources on HT that you wouldnt get on a few thousand member forum, regardless of how speciailzed it is

I could help you as a 7th gen moderator, but I don't know very much, but I could help as far as aftermarket goes, Ive read everything there is to know on k20a.org, gen7accord.com etc etc. Also, 03akkord5spd knows a great deal with the engine, as does outersquare, they are both 7th gen pioneers and have had a lot of under the hood work.

ok, i dont think its very cool that my post was censored when im trying to help someone. I understand that referring people to another forum could result in the decline of this forum, but so far, honda-tech sort of sucks for info on the 7th gen. i would love to see this change. i think it would be great to get a separate accord forum, like the civic forums. or have a 7th gen mod at least

it depends what you are looking for.

Hence the name Honda- TECH. If you are looking for technical/mechanical related info, there isn't going to be a better forum on the web then here. Most of H-T and especially the Accord forum isn't solely based around aftermarket mods etc etc. Here is the first place I ask or refer someone to if they are in need of technical Honda/Acura related info. There are a lot of techs from around the country that frequent this forum, as well as numerous old hands who have gotten their hand's dirty in Honda engines.

might I suggest merging the TSX forum with a 7th gen K24 accord forum, similar to the DC5/EP3 forum.

also, the 98+ j30 accord is different enough that they might benefit from their own V6 accord forum. Or combine a CL/TL/accord V6 forum since the chassis and powertrains are similar.

if you're looking for a K24 accord moderator, i'd be interested for consideration even if I don't have many posts on HT. I'm more involved in other sites.

It's really simple actually. HT is not going to allow someone to advertise a site that competes with this one.
The same reason a dealership sales department isn't goint to allow someone from another brand to advertise in their showroom.
Sorry if the rules offend you but that's just the way it is.

Thanks for allowing the post, I should be able to gather the information via IM. I can completely understand the URL removal. Congrats on the site sticking around for so long it's amazing..
