I have the apexi n1 and the tip is 4 1/2 inches, it's so huge that it's touching the side of my vizage rear lip kit. I've done searches on ebay but i couldn't be able to find any exhaust system that has smaller tip. Skunk2, Megan, Apexi WS, Greddy, all of them either have 4 1/2 or 4" inches tip, which is still too huge for my lip.. i'm looking for 3 1/2 inch.

I was wondering.. if it's possible that I keep the apexi N1 pipe and replace its exhaust tip (canister) with any other brand of exhaust tip.. will that still work? Will the sound or performance still be the same? I'm sorry if I'm being confusing. Thanks for taking your time reading this threat.

 

i mean if its really a problem for you .. but u still feel like keeping the n1 , then jus cut the part where the muffler ends and replace it with a apexi universal n1 muffler .. they are 3.5 inches

 

you should be able to just switch out the axleback and keep the n1 piping. just measure the lengths to make sure. the sound will be different and the performance maybe different as well. i think as long as you get a straight through muffler it should be fine, performance wise. have you thought about just buying a muffler, cutting the n1 canister off and having the new muffler welded back on your axleback piping?
