Default DC2 Suspension experts

I have extremely limited experience with cars with modified suspension. I've never bought any coilovers, springs, or shocks before and I've only been in about 10 lowered cars in my life, the best of which was a 98 GS-R with Ground Control coilovers and stock shocks.

My question is .... is a suspension set up with Ground Control coilovers and Tokico Illuminas a great set up for a 98 GS-R? The most important thing to me is to have a suspension that will help me at the track once I can afford axles. Some guys at my local shop said that a lot of people who get Ground Control/Koni Yellow set ups never use that to it's potential and with the now higher prices, it's too expensive for me. What would be the best quality and cheapest (I know it's hard to go together; I just don't want to pay for a name) suspension set up that would be great for the track with a built/turbo DC2? I also know that I should upgrade my motor mounts and all the bushings that I can too, but what is a great set up?

Thanks

Get the Ground controls, and Koni Sports (yellows). I sold a $2,200 coil-over kit for this setup, and I couldn't be happier.

Koni yellows are worth the price you wont be disappointed with them. ground control is pretty good also for that kind of price. Better to spend a little more now than to look back and decide you want to change again and spend even more money.

Honestly all I care about them for is for STRAIGHT LINE ACCELERATION. I just want the cheapest coilovers that will help me nearly the most going down the 1320. I have not become bored of straight line acceleration as I have not run 11s yet. Maybe some day if I hit 9s, I'll probably move on to the "twisties".

I think I should ask this same question in the "Boosted" forum...

Get the Konis, and Ground Controls with a custom rate. How about a 400lb front, and a 550lb rear?
