My 98 Accord lx 4dr 5spd, has following mods: Neuspeed Koni Yellows, Neuspeed Sportline springs, Comptech sways f/r. Went over a bump and the rear went bump, more like bang. Now I'm dragging on one side, the wheel and wheelwell are in contact. As I don't know what exactly happened, I'm wondering what you guys think. I'm guessing something on the sways. What fails typically when you bring the car down with springs? As these are the sports, I wasn't expecting problems. Just damn glad it didn't happen on some of the nice mountain roads I go on.

Getting it in Monday, hope it's not a mint. I was planning to put discs on the rear this week, not this!!!

 

Bump, and an update. Jacked the broken side up, and what I saw was the collar that keeps the spring in place on the strut has pushed down, and is free. I don't know why, but the strut had a metal ring that held the collar in place, and this has failed. Wonder if this is a failure that is common, or if there is somethiing more to it like incorrect instal???

Have it put on a flatbed and get it to a shop. Might put the old Tokico blues back till I can figure things out.
