i got a phearable ecu, socketed p28 using crome. his basemap didnt work for me but after searching pgmfi.org i managed to burn a chip (after about 16 tries) that has a decent a/f ratio and good power. the phearable.net guy, however, has great/fast service and he gets from me.

if you already have a vafc, it might be sufficient, as lately some people have been posting decent dyno graphs, but from what i understand there is more tuning flexibility when you can burn your own chip with a software program than just the vafc unit alone. i'm sure others can post better details on this.
