Default New Owner

My manager and i bought an '81 accord today. a customer traded it in and we both liked the car, so we went in halves. we want to do some work to it, but i have no idea where to find parts...if anyone can help me, PLEASE do. the a/c works, but the tranny may need some work. it shifts hard and doesn't like going from 2nd to 3rd (yeah, it's an auto) you have to feather the gas to get it to shift.

thanks,
chris

That car looks like it's in great shape, the body anyway. My friend had one just like that one. I road in it a couple times. It was my first time in an Accord. I can remember being very impressed with the suspension, for a car so light, it was very responsive. I wish you luck finding parts for it. I've put a link below. Maybe they have some parts for it.

thanks for the links. it reminded me of an old bmw as well. i love the round headlights and the teek wood luggage rack. the car REALLY doesn't like hills...we've gotta get the tranny worked on. someone told me that the shifting sounded like the filter and fluid needs to be replaced. any ideas?

thanks!

we got the shifting problem fixed...apparently, the throttle cable had too much play in it...we tightened it and it made a WORLD of difference.
