Default Replaced Input Shaft bearing..no reverse

Ok i replaced my input shaft bearing..everything went smooth..popped the tranny back on today and i got no reverse...every other gear shifts perfect just I cant get it into reverse..

Now there is no fluids of any kind in the car and its still up in the air..Is this something that will correct itself once i actually move the car a bit or did i screw something up??

Thanks guys

try rolling it a little bit,

or put in gear and bump the starter,

sometimes it's hard to go into reverse,

but before you pull your tranny off and take it apart try that

Does it block you out? Or, will it go in, but not clunch into gear with that patented reverse gear sound?

I defn put that bad boy back in there..and I dont think i put it in upside down because i made sure that i lined that keyish thing up with the keyhole

I couldnt bump the starter yesterday as i hoped because the battery died

after i had my tranny rebuild my a local transmission place i got it back in a hooked up the shift linkage to try the gears and it was like butter even with no oil in it. i wouldnt even waste any fluid, just pull it again and see whats wrong. you might be able to test the tranny out if the car if you pull on the part the linkage hooks up to.

with the casing apart, can you by hand, "slide check" from 5th to R? if you can't manually slide into R, then check for burrs on the sleeve. if there are any, smooth out with a file or rotary tool sander. if your idler and lever are checking out, then you probably have a mismatched or burred sleeve and hub. good luck.
