Just wondering if it is bad to put 110 race gas in my Si? Is it bad for the motor?

 

you dont need it...premium is good

 

Higher octane will actually kill power in an engine not built for it. Just run premium.

 

if u feel ur motor needs more octane than mix the 110 with 91 50/50 and itll be about 100- 101 octane!

See the little warnings all over you manual and gas door that says "unleaded fuel only" I would trust those recommendations.

Why would you want to run 110 anyways? Do you have too much money?

Assuming your car is stock, since you didn't mention anything about it (in fact, you didn't include anything but "Si," which still isn't very descriptive because it could describe several cars), then yes, 110 octane leaded fuel is bad for your engine. Leaded fuel will ruin your O2 sensor(s) and your catalytic convertor - that's why your fuel gauge and your filler cap warn you to use "unleaded fuel only." Not to mention, with a stock engine, there is no benefit to running anything higher than 91 octane, other than lightening your wallet.

stick to 89 or 91 bro...you don't need rocket fuel...It's not going to make your stock Si gain 1000HP...LOL!

 

not true. ur car will not explode cuz i have ran the 110 leaded in my stock b16 mixed 50/50 with 91. however didnt feel a damn difference so save ur money and build it!!!

 

Back in my less knowledgeable days, I did this. It accomplishes nothing but clogging up your 02 sensor, and you will get a CEL. Personal experience, stick with premium.

 

Is 100 octane, leaded also?

 

It will likley say right on the pump. You could run something like C16 and advance your distributor to gain more power. The differance will only be 5-10hp so its still not really worth it. Unless your in a extreamly compedative class of racing that limits engine modification like a SCCA autocross.
