Hi, I have a 2003 Accord LX with 75k on it. I feel the idle trembling the car. I changed out the spark plugs, which I got from the dealer, but it didn't fix the problem. No check engine light. I do smell fuel coming out of the exhaust more then I use to. I hope this can help.

I have the same problem with an 04 accord LX, or well I used to. Now its happening off and on and the dealer and I can't figure out exactly what is wrong.

First, we replaced the primary o2 sensor, code p0135, and that fixed the problem for a day. Now, the harness might be going bad, but not sure on that either. FYI, I have aftermarket headers and this is attributing to this problem slightly.

When you accelerate, and get to RPM's above 4k, does the transmission hesistate during the shift, like it continues to rev and then shift (I have an auto). It was causing me to run lean, and in turn have that happen.

After awhile, at idle, my car would knock and cut out.

Or maybe the oppossite is happening, your car is running rich, but idk why that would make your car tremble at idle.

 

The car smells like it is running rich, but I do not have a check engine light. I thought that if there was a problem with emission then I should get a check engine light?

 

If the car was running rich, then it would throw a CEL, it threw one for me running lean.

Pretty sure if it was emissions, then itd throw a CEL also.

I'm not totally sure, maybe someone else has a better idea?
