Another "I Cleaned up my SS 4-1 Header"
My stainless DC 4-1 header clean up. Total time: Four Hours
My technique: I started by quickly just cleaning the header off. As you can see the header was originally really tarnished. There was not a spot of shine on it. I Started with 120 Grit sand paper and went in a up and down pattern. Then I moved up to a 400 Grit and then to a 800 Grit. Once installed I used that kitchen counter "Orange" stuff to get all finger prints off. Then I wiped the runners from top to bottom with WD-40. The pics of it turning bronze was with only 5 min of driving.
Please let me know what you think.

Looks pretty cool. I wish a bronze shine would last on my header. There's too much moisture in the morning air where I live so the header always gets a layer of condensation, which turns to water spots, which turns to tarnish.
