Default 94' GSR with fading brakes

Hello all, here's my first post. I bought a 94' GSR last weekend from what was essentially a junkyard. I won't disclose the amount because I intend on selling the car shortly, but rest assured it was an incredible value. Well I knew as soon as I drove it that something was wrong with the brakes. When you go to get on them the pressure slowly bleeds to the floor and the braking power diminishes. You have to pump the brakes to get the pressure back up. We thought that this was due to air in the system and bled the brakes. It helpled long enough to get the car down the drive way and then it was back to no pressure. We bled the brakes starting with the passenger rear and then continuing clockwise to the passenger front. Either we did it incorrectly or the master cylinder is going, I even heard somebody say a dead calliper. The car had drilled rotors on it when I bought it. Any ideas?

First, check the brake fluid level in the MC reservoir to make sure it's not empty. If it's considerably low, you may have a leak in the system. Check the ground for puddles after pumping for a while. You should check for puddles anyways. If all is well, sounds like a shot master cylinder. Make sure when you order a new one, they know it's a GSR.

Oh PS, the 1/4 time in you sig, please tell me that's not yours (with no brakes)...

haha, oh yeah it is. As of last Wednesday evening. One of my good friends works for a speed shop and we've been flogging this old girl for all she's worth. We had it on a dyno within 48 hours of buying it. The only mod is a AEM CAI from the previous owner and this thing is a factory freak. Dont get me wrong, the brakes are usable but they fade when coming to a slow stop and if you sit at a red light the pedal will bleed all the way to the floor with your foot on it. It will stay there till you get off and let it come back up. If it weren't for these weak brakes I would be autocrossing the car Saturday morning. I have a sneaking suspicion that the master is dead. I will bleed them again tomorrow morning. I'm a die hard DSM guy but this car is winning me over in the fun factor.

EDIT: the car has no leaks, the pressure is bleeding internally.

I can't believe someone would abandon it at a junkyard for something as simple as a fading brake pedal. I've been searching for an unmolested SIR or GSR (99 or newer) for the past six months, it's harder than trying to find clean on my coveralls.

Could be the check valve on the booster. Cheaper fix then a master cylinder, so you may want to try that first.
