No
The pump itself is located near the rear of the tank. You have to lower the straps to get to it, as well as disconnect a few hoses, lines, & all the wiring.
I just put a Walbro in my sedan last weekend, 1st time replacing a fuel pump.... hate to say this but it took me damn near 5 hours start to finish.
Afterwards I wondered if I had to remove the backseat at all. Only thing to do there was unplug the harness, only the sending unit is accessible from there. Anyone know if it's really necessary to remove the backseat and unplug that stuff?? That would've saved a good hour and a half total....

ok kool thanks for the reply. Man 5 hours damn thats hella long. was it hard for you to take out the full pump? oh yeah did you drain your tank before you took out the fuel pump?
Yeah I'm not very quick with **** I've never done before....keep crawling out to consult the manual cause I'm skeered.
I ran the car til it was almost empty since I knew I'd be doing the fuel pump. Didn't drain the tank all the way but it was easy to handle. Disconnecting & reattaching the fuel lines and gas filler neck was the biggest pain for me.

Ok yeah that sounds right. I have yet to install my walbro. I have a hatch with no back seat so I see my sending unit then everyday. I assumed it was fuel pump.
Fuel pumps are easier to change when you have a lift. Real world with some jack stands and on your back is a little harder.
Make sure that is definately your problem before you start.
Thanks for clearing this up for him. I was not trying to mislead anyone.
