Default B16B Stroker...

Has anyone here had any experience with some of the aftermarket stroker kits out there? I'm looking to stoke out my B16b to either a 1.8 or 2.1 any thoughts or comments?

For a B16b stroker to 1.8, just use rods and pistons from the b18 of your choice. If you plan to go bigger, you're better off putting your own kit together. If not, crower has a nice stroker setup.

GSR or LS crank, GSR or LS rods, or if u want aftermarket rods, Eagle rods are pretty good, and get some new CTR pistons, New rings, And Bearings. And ur good

all the spoon stroker kti for the b16b is, is an ITR crank, ITR rods, and ITR pistons.

maybe they balanced it, but whooptie-******-doo, those parts come well balanced from the factory anyways.

If your changing out internals go with forged goodies while your at it for added peace of mind.

depending on what purpose this motor is going to serve....

cast pistons aren't going to give you any problems - as in many cases, simply buying any forged piston might prove to be more trouble than expected with piston to wall clearances to consider.

why not just sell the longblock and get a GSR longblock, or an itr longblock?

seems pretty ******* stupid to "stroke" a b16b block

the only thing sleeper about it would be the lettering on the block. i dont see any other reason for keeping the b16b block.

personally, i would sell the ctr block too, since you can get good money for it and put together a better engine together for cheaper IMO..
but that's the only reason that i can think of unless it was just laying around and you know it's legit and in good condition..even then, you could still build a better block for cheaper..so that leads me to believe that he really wants to make a sleeper block. *shrugs*

how the expletive is that a "sleeper"/??!?!

it's a ******* honda...the only way it's even gonna remotely be quick is with forced induction...and there's no "sleeping" with that. b16b, b20b/z, b18cwhatever....who ever sees the engine is gonna know generally what's going on. even wiht my 2.1L...there was nothing sleeper about it...
