Default vtec-e in crx

my friend gave me his vtec-e engine, and i need another engine... so my question is will it fit in my 89 crx si...

ok well...d16a6 has no vtec. but you want to replace your stock si engine with the new vtec engine? correct? wut engine did your friend give u

yeah, it will FIT. But, you need a different ECU and some simple wiring mods. The guy from rywire.com is working on this exact swap. You do realize that the vtec-e motor is built to get very high gas mileage, right?

thats pretty sick man.

yea vtec-e is the fuel economy version of vtec, its not performance orientated at all, so just be careful if you though ti was going ot be fast afterwards.
