2002 Accord SE Auto Transmission Problems
My '02 Accord is in the shop right now and luckily Honda is paying to replace the auto transmission.
My question is is it likely this new transmission will fail soon also?
I have heard that once you have a transmission go out in one of these cars the replacements seem to fail soon also.
Please advise.

Not true at all. If the reman unit is installed correctly and the Technician uses the ATF cooler flush machine then your going to have many more miles of trouble free operation. Have some faith that transmission has been torn completely down and parts were replaced and refurbished as needed.
I spoke to a transmission mechanic and he said that the clutch plates in the 98 to 04 accords grind down and all the small particles fall into the oil and that screws up everything else, he also said that the new clutch plates that they use when rebuiding the tranny are made of different material that will not screw up the tranny again. I hope he didn't lie to me because I'm paying him $1800 to rebuilt my tranny.
