4cyl accord sc build
RIPP has been looking into the 94-02 SOHC Accord engine as a possible kit. There are several Accords that come by looking for power upgrades with no were to go.
There are several people that seem to be left without options in terms of power adders. NOS is not a "convenient" route for the NYC crowd, as well as many of you out there, and everyone has a friend who tried Turbo charging and blew up their cars.
So we designed the RIPP SDS kit with reliability in mind first. The SDS has proven itself in every application we have ever designed once for 4 and 6 cylinder cars.
So, if this group of individuals are ready for our power program we will need to start a list, we welcome questions and comments...

well, thats pretty vague.
Has this kit been made or are you looking for interest before starting on one?
Just a quick few questions that came to mind...
What comes with this "kit"?
How much does this "kit" cost?
How much power will you expect to see out of this "kit"?

check out their website it has all the info. they haven't built it yet, because there is no demand. im just trying to spread the word. i would love for them to build it. most kits for other 4cyl cars have add 100 extra hp. but thats just stage 1
Sounds good to me.

And here's the link to the thread in their forum: http://www.rippmods.com/forum/...ID=52

this reminds me of a similar thread posted at cb7tuner.com there are manny people who would love to reap the benifits of a SC over NA, N2o, or other means of forced induction, but that beggs the questions... how practical is this? superchargers tend to come with a very high price tag, almost (somtimes dobble) the cost of what it would run to build a turbo setup... reliability is only comprimised when inexperianced tuners attempt to venture down a path their either unfamilier with, or have little care for practicality... think about it, regardless of how 7PSI is introduced to the intake, its still 7PSI and withount the propor tunning, the damage is already done, if your one of those high school kids who think every stop-light is an open inventation to race grandmom, then common sense dictates your going to **** all over your motor.... however i would be lying if i said i wouldent take advantage of a SC kit myself should the application ever be presented by a REPUTABLE company... just food for thought!

No, I wouldn't do that. If it's worth it, discussion will keep it up. Bumping it for no reason could get it locked.

if you turn over the right rock, youll find an abundence of us who still cherrish their old-skol cb's... it would be amazing for a company to build and market a compleat kit for the 90-93 stock motor. oh well, i was able to locate a company in new york city that makes extreamly rare parts for the f22's (i.e. cams, cam gears, intake manifolds, throttle bodys, pistons) even a turbo kit, makes 7.5psi on a tension spring... retails for $3k "track version" makes 11psi again on a tension spring! $5k... im trying despritly to remember the company name, if i can, ill post it!

I'm hesitant because most of those people are all for turbos, and the hell with everything else.
