Default 97 b18 into 90 teg problem.

Im using the obd0 harness on a 97 engine. does obd2 not have an alternator plug? i al think i am missing a heater plug. there ones on the engine but dont have one on the harness. And i also have that wierd 2 prong black rubber booted plug that has no where to go.

Any suggestions? ill try to get pics tomorrow.

Its been awhile but when we swapped out our 90 B18A1 for a 98 B18B1 we used the 90 distributor, injectors, and altenator. I'm not sure if the altenator is a must or not. As for the sensors I remember one of them from the back of the 90 was located in the waterneck of the 98. I know this isnt the most detailed post but hopefully it helps and if not I remember I was able to find all of the sensor info by search ti and ht. Good luck.

TI= TeamIntegra.net

you have to keep your 90 alternator, injectors (because of the resistor box), tranny, clutch, flywheel, distributor and header because the 98 parts are not placeable in the 90 integra because of the wiring or mechanical design, everything else will swap over easily

Got it in, gotta put axels in and fill the fluids and we will see how she goes. I did have to extend one wire for the thermo houseing. I still have 1 wierd thing. 2 wires that go into a big rubber boot that has no where to go on the 97 motor. there is just no where to plug it in at all.
