Default Question about rust on ceramic header

I just picked up a 4-1 dc ceramic header, it has rust inbetween the 4 pipes where they almost connect and to where they start to split up. Im just curious as to how I can clean it up and make it look good the cheapest route, I just spent alot of money and need to be as conservative as possible. I know sanding it will bring it down to the mild steel, so I dunno what to do. I searched, and I cannot find an answer anywhere, here, google, etc. Thanks.

Ummm....Simple Green & those green Scotch Brite pads do wonders on a lot of stuff.

Or just don't open your hood for people
