I have an 88 prelude si with a jdm h22a mt out of a 93 accord. It is in my dirt track car which ran perfect for two nights, then I lost some power and it
will not go over 6200 rpm without cutting itself off like a rev limiter. We pulled the
codes from the ecm and it said first top dead center position sensor. Cleared codes then it said vtec solonoid, and ignition signal. Checked all with scamatics from shop key and the actual service manual and they all tested out. Codes cleared and now it comes up with top dead center position sensor everytime. Checked it again with scamatics and it is okay. Shop key and the manual say that it is probably the ecm. My question is on all the parts on the motor are stamped with p13. The ecm that came with the motor had some od # on it, which probably is the one that comes with the accord. Can I put a jdm p13 in it and will it work correctly. need to know soon because we race sunday night. Any suggestions?

 

Yes, use the correct ecu(P13 for obd1 H22's usdm and jdm) for the engine unless tuned for example using a P28,P72. Vtak and dirt, sounds like a good time!

 

yeah, its a blast. So I can find a jdm p13 and just plug it in? Do you have any suggestions where a good place to find one online, maybe get it shipped overnight?
I have seen some on e-bay with or without chips.
