Within the last 400-500kms I burned through 1/2 qt of oil, I haven't gotten a leakdown or compression test done yet, this isn't normal and caught me by surprise!
My extended warranty runs out the end of next month so this would be covered right? As long as they don't blame the VAFC2 i have installed for causing it.
Is there anything else I should be checking and do you think they will cover it? thanks.

Alex, the only way to find out if it is covered is to visit your local dealership and have them run the diagnostic (which may be a PITA). From there if they do conclude that it is your valve stem seals, they will call your extended warranty company and give them some part numbers to see if they are covered. A warranty flat rate is then issued and if everything is approved, you get new valve stem seals minus your deductible.
I swear though, sometimes I wish all of you guys were just down the street so I can just take care of all the ITRs. LoL!

This kid came in the other day reporting a noise from the head. tech took the valve cover off, and on the ex. cam one of the lobes was pretty much non-exsistant... all of the other lobes showed MAJOR signs of wear, hot spots, scoring, etc. Honda Care is covering the repair costs, which is practically a head rebuild... so you should be alright man. good luck

Stick the VAFC into the glove box and lock it. Don't give the dealer any excuse to refuse your claim. Make sure you have your oil change history in hand in case they ask for it.
If all goes well they'll change the oil and and start a oil consumption test. After you get it back then it's up to you to bring it back when the oil is 1 litre low. Make sure that this is within the mileage you claimed.
