Default Headlight Power Supply *need answear ASAP*

I'm installing new gauges and I need to wire something into the headlight power supply but I cannot find it if my life depended on it. I've searched and looked through the owners manual and I need to finish the job tonight so any help would be appreciated!

why? Just hook it up to the ignition. So when the key is on, the gauges are on. There's no need to go through all the "trouble" of finding the correct wire.

To make it more simple than that - just hook them up to an empty slot in the fuse panel - which has ignition power.

It's a power inverter to change the colors.

I'm not really understanding your response. Could you go into a little more detail? I'd really appreciate it and I really need to get everyhting hooked back up before tonight is over.

Thanks

there's a red/blue stripe wire by the fuse box for your running lights you can use.
search prelude archives for "alarm install" for a picture.
probe the wire and make sure it toggles with the running lights before you hook up to it.

Still not entirely sure on what you're saying.. also I can't find an "archive section".

I'm getting really frustrated with this. My whole interior is gutted and I just want to get this done and over with asap. Also I'm going to be out all weekend and I kinda need to see how fast I'm going..lol.

But yeah I know nothing when it comes to electrical components and what not. Please, any help would be GREATLY appreicated.

search -> type alarm install, select the archived content button, scroll to prelude.
but,
go get a t-tap then and do what the weatherman said.
one of the blue things at the bottom left, from advance or autozone

an easy access point for ignition power are the wires powering the cigarette lighter. just use the t-tap to splice into the power wire feeding it. it should be obvious, because the other wire feeding the lighter is ground, and it runs to a screw right under the console. that's NOT the one to tap into.

Alright that seems to help a lot more.

So basically what I could do is run it into the parking lights? Just run it into the red/blue striped wire by the fuse box and it should work fine? Would I run both the red and black wires on the inverter into the same wire?

Thanks for the help guys!

you can use an "add a fuse" in the main fuse box in the engine bay on the passenger side, one of the fuses is "headlight" . so it only gets power when the headlights are turned on
