I am going to make the meet for the Saturday morning practice session, because I feel that it won't be as crowded as qualifying and it'll be easier to get a spot in the stands. If we all are having a good time, we can hang out for qualifying too. But for now, we're all gonna meet outside turn one before Saturday practice. I will be wearing a black shirt that says "Honda-Tech Staff" on it.

 

I think we should have beer. Lots of it. And women. And red meat.

Wheres everyone staying? I have a cousin that lives in indianapolis and a grandma that lives in bloomington.

 

i live close enough to drive up each day.

 

When does everyone want to meet up? Friday? Saturday?

 

You gonna have any organized events? A Michelin slashing contest, maybe?

 

Damn, have fun guys, I was saving up to go but ran into money issues.

 

I'll be at Indy by 9:30am Saturday morning with 6 other guys. We're then staying at a hotel on the north side of town that night. Just look for the drunk guys.

 

I will be there with 4 guys.. one also an H-Ter (Mltdownk). I would be up for meeting up though I am not very good at following through with plans when I will be boosing all day and heckling ferrari fans every chance I get.. But if you see me say hello... I should be drinking a miller product with all Kimi gear on..



think i posted this pic regarding who is going to the race before... but here it is again..

i might have to break out the "custom" shirt again this year... it seemed to be a hit last year.

I will be rooting for Webber sitting next to Nate and his buddy, as Heidfeld and JV's motors blow up!

I might be making a trip from CT, anyone know what the best/cheapest seats are, also can someone tell me some of the major differences between the irl and f1 in regards to the cars and so forth.

Cheapest seats = General admission &gt;$75 (u can actually get pretty damn close to the track) if u take this option try to shack up early on the hill at turn 7. Very good location to see the race the cars r ~20 ft away! Bauley and I watched practice there last year

A good 2nd choice is North West Vista $85

Best seats = stand J (first turn) $105 these seats r my fav 'cause u get the best view of both the 1st corner and the straight. And u def want to be by the first corner at the start of the race. U can see turns 1-6 perfectly, 7 a tree blocks ur view, but then u can see them flyin' down Hulman blvd towards turn 9.

F1 vs IRL = I defer to Bauley or ChrisN (don't listen to Chris if he starts talkin' about Webber or Pizza boy Though)

F1 = grooved tires w/ high side walls, 13" wheels, 2.4L V8 ~1200lbs ~700hp ~20K rpms, set up for road courses, max speed ~210mph
IRL = slick tires low profile, 15" wheels, 3.0L V8 (weight?) ~800hp (rpm's), set up for ovals, max speed ~230mph

-Thats the best I could do off the top of my head sorry if I'm scued a little
