Default jdm cluster help?

In the next few days I plan on buying the SiR EF Cluster (9500k) for my CRX, and was wondering if any of you have installed one in your car? I know they come w/wiring diagrams, but it also states that I'll need an electic speed sensor? Is it something I can do myself? or should I not even bother with it? Just wondering, thanks in advance.

Yes. You will be able to do it yourself. Check out Mark's page for more info.

I have nstalled the cluster successfully, except for the Speed Sensor. I can't seem to remove the Stock Speed Sensor from my tranny (stock engine, crx si).

Good luck.

Thanks man, that was a really helpful and informative page. Now I don't know if I wanna go through all that, maybe I'll just get a shift light. Heh Heh.

Why don't you take a EDM cluster?! It reaches 9500 rpm but topspeed ist 260 km/h not only 180 km/h

its actually a lot easier than it sounds. All you really need is a **** load of free time. 1 peice of advice though. do it all and do it all ( correctly ) the first time. tearing the thing out every couple weeks to fix or redo shuff on this would seriously suck.

thats a good piont. I top out my speedo at the end of 4th gear with a JDM S1 and 195/50-15s on.

BTW you wouldnt happen to have a source for EDM parts now would you. heheh

I guess it's the same work with the EDM, cause it's also made for a B16.

If you can find a cluster from a UK EE8 the speedo reads up to 150 mph. And the tach goes to 9500.

We sell the EDM clusters... they're not cheap, and they are certainly not easy to come by.

If you are interested in getting one, shoot me an email for details
