Adjustments to Front and Rear shocks to compensate for worn out tires in Auto X
Falken Azenis on my GSR are kind of worn out
....not completely but I would say 30% left on two tires and 40% on other two. Liitle low on cash so can not go for another set for the next month or so.
Question is......
Which set of tires should be up front the one with more tread? (30% set or 40% set)
I have Koni Yellows and Ground controls coil overs (400 F , 450 Rear) all around
. What's the best shocks settings to compensate for worn out tires? ( more stiff up front and soft on back etc?
I am trying to make the best out of the situtaion...
so please don't tell me that my only option is to get another set of tires!!!!!
Thanks

More tread on the front. And I don't think you have to adjust shocks too much, typically we would shave tires down to 50% or so. We found that our older sets of RT-215's were faster than our new full depth tires.

That's not worn out, that's prime condition.

Ok....thats good news.
What shock settings for Koni Yellows ( how many turns from Full FIRM)
How much pressure for front and back

I usually run 45 at front 28 psi in the rear. With konis 3/4 turn from full soft front, 1 turn from full soft in the back

Start there but be prepared to add more rear rebound stiffness to dial in more oversteer as needed. Don't be surprised if you find yourself up near max on the rears in autocross (too much for the street) but near mid-range on the fronts.
