B18B with B16 tranny?
my friend has had both and currently has the b16 on right now. to me, b16 stays higher in the rpm's when cruising, but the car pulls good w/ the b16 tranny being nice and short.

Would it be bad on the motor also?</TD></TR></TABLE>
With a B16A transmission, you are running at a little under 3000RPM at 50MPH. And at 80KPH, you are running at around 4500RPM. So you can see that if you run a B16A transmission on an LS, you are not going to have a happy camper on the freeway. The LS motor was simply not made to run at close to 5000RPM all day long on the freeway. So unless the car is not going to be a freeway cruiser, I would NOT use a B16A transmission on an LS.
