Can anyone pass emissions with a JDM b16
Hey guys
I got a 90 si with a jdm b16a1. My mods include type r header, custom catback to apexi N1 muffler, aem cai, msd ignition, etc. Has anyone in the NJ area, or any other area for that matter been able to pass emissions, or have any ideas to either get an inspection sticker or reduce emissions
any input is appreciated, thanks guys

Is your car getting the sniffer test? If so you should think about converting to OBD1 if you aren't already.

Holy crap for winshield wipers! I failed in Arizona but it was because I was only running one O2 at the time and the car was running rich. Once I got both working it passed no problem with aftermarket intake and exhaust. You guys have it rough!

Do they have a visual inspection there in your area? Here in Cali we have extremely strict guidelines that need to be followed in order to pass. If you lived here, you would have had to make your B16 USDM Del Sol spec, with all of the Del Sol's emissions control stuff present, etc
No visual in Jersey. You just need to pass the sniffer. It's not failing because it's a B16, it's failing because there is something wrong.........ie most likely the cat. What did you fail?

I live in MD, I have a 90 CRX with JDM b16, AEM intake, AEBS intake manifold, dc sport header, magnaflow high flow cat, thermal exhuast. All they checked for was that the gas cap kept presure and my car had trouble fitting on the wheels so they just held it at whatever rpms and it passed with plenty of room in every category.
just call your local dmv and ask to set up an appointment wih the state referee. he will let you know what you have to do to pass smog.i have a b20 in my CRX and i just seen the ref and he told me that i have to dress up my motor to look like a stock 94 integ. that no big deal considering the illegal way is alo
