when i did my swap on my 93 civic, i noticed my a/c lines where messed up. recently i have been hitting up the junk yards and ebay and i can't seem to find any lines for my civic. now i know the 95 civic's came w/an r134 system, since i'm narrowing down my search for that year it makes it even harder to find.

i also know 96 - up civic's came with r134 systems as well, and are for some reason easier to come by. so can't i just use a 96 - up a/c system, or atleast the line? if there's any other a/c compatibilty with the 92-95 civic please let me know.

 

The seals and lines aren't interchangable becuase of the freon. R134 can damage lines and seals of an R12 system and vise versa. You can fully upgrade to the R134, and they sell conversion kits.

my local dealer supposedly sells a kit, but they want over $1000 for there kit.

I'd check autozone and any local shop that does A/C recharges. They'll have a good idea of what's out there for a conversion kit.
