Default What is a good intake manifold for an all motor b16

Hi I am planning on getting a intake manifold for my all motor b16a. I was thinkin of getting either skunk2 or the edelebrock victor x. i herd that the shunk2 doesnt has enough vacuum ports but is still a good manifold. What is the difference between the victor x and the performer x. i read that for the victor x u can feel the diff between 7000-10000 rpm,and for the performer x like 3000-7800.which would be better? Is there any other goodmanifold out there? What about ITBs? I heard that there good for the track but shitty for street, but i also herd that if u get a good tune for it i runn good on streets.

Have it portmatched to TB and ported you still are probbly cheaper then a skunk2 one.

What are your goals though as the AEBS is great part for most everyone it still might not be what you are going for.

AEBS hands down, Skunk is overhyped, over rated and over priced.
The Edelbrocks are more geared towards FI or extremely high revvin N/A
ITB's if you can tune them consistantly then rock with them

although I agree the skunk 2 is a bit overpriced I currently have one which is port matched to my TB and i also had it extrude honed. I love it, and it adds a lot of power over a wide range, not exactly sure off the top of my head cuz i havent driven my car in awhile cuz i cant pass inspection, and college. However, port matching it and extrude honing does add to the already high price. One question though, i am unfamiliar with the AEBS manifold, but how durable is it, it may have a better life than the skunk2, but we all know that when it come to engine mods, you get what you pay for.

Durability has never been an issue with the ones I've installed, I've never had a problem with them. The AEBS is a quality piece. You get what you pay for with the Skunk2, which is a name laser etched on top, that's about it. Back when I had my B and was researching the manifolds, 9 out of 10 of the comparisons put the AEBS on top. They first came out with some casting "flaws" on the inside, which has been corrected long ago.
I ran my AEBS with a 62mm BBK TB

if you want cheap just get the type r and port match that sucker to your tb and your straight with minimal gains. but the AEBS is a better bang for the buck compared to the skunk 2.

b16beatdown: how much did you pay to have your IM extrude honed? I picked up a p30 IM for $5 and have been thinking about having it extrude honed.

p73 is the best oem manifold and p30 is a close 2nd IMO.
