My brother called me asking for advice on his 2002 RL. He said the other day he noticed the passenger side headlamp (low beam HID) all of a sudden was a different tint of color than the left side. And last night, it stopped coming on. I was trying to do a little research last night. But it sounds like either the bulb or the HID ballast. Either way, with the 2002's, can just the bulb be replaced, or does the ballast/bulb combination need replacement? Thanks.

 

how many miles are on it? is it still under warrenty?

 

Over 100K. Not under warranty.

 

it wouldnt matter if it was under warrenty because the bulbs are wear and tear items and it is the consumers responsibility to replace them. I think all it is would be the bulb the ballast shouldnt have gone out that quickly.
