Default all motor setup, ls/vtec, mild build, 200whp goal...

well im building a ls/vtec to go in my friends 91 civic hatch si. im building a basicly stock block ls/vtec... heres what i plan

ls block, honed and bored to 82mm
b16 p30 jdm pistons
new barings, rings seals and gaskets
gsr oil pump
arp rod bolts and head studs
gsr water pump and timing belt
ctr crank pully
skunk 2 cam gears
mildly ported and polished b16 obd1 head
aebs intake manifold
68mm tb
3" itr aem intake
crower stg 3 cams
kms dual valve springs and titanium retainers
345 prelude injectors
converted to obd1 and tuned with crome pro
dc sports 4-1 header.. for now but modded with 2.5" dp
2.5" full rsr exhaust
b16 lsd hydro transmission
act clutch and fidanza i think 9 or 10p flywheel

and thats about all for now, soon to get a new header and dyno time, this will be street tuned by a local crome tuner. also geting a tracktion bar for wheel hop issues haha

tell me what u think, the crower stg 3s he has are like skunk 2 stg 2 cams, there older cams, the head came off his b16... but id like to know what everyone thinks of this setup. hes hoping for 200whp and mid-high 13s with slicks. thanks for looking, pics up soon of the build.

id go with the skunk 2 pro 1 cams unless you decide to raise compression to like 12 to 1 and even more with the crower 3s

let us know how those kms things work out, but i would suggest a spring recomended to handle the lift of a crower 3 like a crower spring just my .02 cents

the kms valve springs and retainers are made for the lift and duration made by these cams, i checked with them on the phone, rated to 11k also, they say your bottom end will go out before these do... it should be around 12.1.1-12.6.1 compresion with 82mm p30 pistons, decked b16 head... and the cams arent recent cams, there about 5-6 years old, not as much lift i belive as the new stg 3 cams... dont make any more than sk2 sg2s,
but ya thats about it, any other comments.. ive checked over alot of stuff, he already has the built head, hes ran it on his b16 block before, thats y were gona run the same stuff again, he ran the cams with that valvetrain for 10k+ on his b16 reving to 9800rpm. so everything should be fine -blake

how do you have an 82mm P30 piston? The biggest stock size P30 I believe is 81.25

I believe Nippon makes P30s, PR3's, and ITRs in 82mm

They aren't OEM Honda pistons, more like replicas..
