Just get on you knees and pray every night before you go to bed . J/K a Clifford and an Autolock should be allright. Above all else, just be smart and don't leave your car out too much.

if you want, you could add the club as a deterrant.

also, Powerlock I hear is good as well (another layer)

For the guy's who have "super" alarms, are they too sensitive? go off too much? annoying? Just curious.

The Clifford "Concept" series is adjustable. Mine is pretty sensitive. It'll emit a "warning" chirp if someone bumps into the car (or taps on the glass). Sometimes, it'll chirp from a trash truck in the alleyway... once it chirped from a loud plane passing overhead. But the full-on alarm doesn't go off too often.

It's all in the setttings.

Alpine 8063
I had one in my last car...also had the 8081(which is sitting in a box in my living room), both of them are nice alarms and I was very happy with them...especially considering that I purchased them at just over cost...I also like the Clifford Avantguard 4, but it's bucks, typically ~$1500 installed.

I got the Sidewinder 6000 ESP after mine was broken into and love it. Whatever you get make sure it has the pager and sensors on anything that can open (hood, trunk, doors, sunroof , etc.)

the way i have mine setup is basically you need movement on radar and contact, both of those together sets off the warning for the alarm(and pages me), touch it again and it goes off, piezo's r quite loud i might add.... i can hit two buttons on my alarm(8063) and turn on what i like to call "bitch mode" where movement around the car, basically w/in 3 feet sets off the warning -rob

I have the aladdin 2000 but will be upgrading to the Compustart, farther range. both pager. I think if you get an alarm get a pager one, otherwise migth as well keep the stock.
Also get a hood lock!!! A must!!!!

I didn't know the Avant Guard 4 was that much! How much is the Alpine 8063, and where in SoCal would someone go to have it installed (reputable)?
