I was wondering how well does it run?
i know it will be too rich for the sohc but other than that are there any major drawbacks?

 

actually its not that bad..it runs the motor pretty well,,not perfect though,,obviously its a bit rich and redline is set to high..

drawback is the pr3 looks for knock sensor and 2nd o2 ,,so what to do..?

 

i have one on my 88 hf but its not giving codes for the knock sensor and its not hooked up
for the 2nd o2 sensor i spliced the wire from the first o2 sensor to a wire that i ran to the ecu
it runs like crap
when i rev it it bogs like the motor is trying to catch up with the gas pedal and im pressing the pedal slowly
no check engine lights
The weird thing is that every few days it will run fine
I don't do anything different but it will just idle smoother and rev normally

 

I was running a pr3 on a sohc vtec. It ran petty good. It ran better than with a pm6 and vtec was activated with a VAFC. It had more power with the pr3.

 

i ran a pr3 and pw0 on a mini me set up. they were both chipped to eliminate knock, o2 and pressure sensor. i thought it ran better than my afc controller did.

 

I used to run it on my D16Z6. I run it with knock sensor in place. It was located on the right side of head (looking at the motor from the front). I used a hole that held one of the AC brackets. I slightly leaned it out with my fuel pressure regulator and it run very well! After than, B16 swap was so easy.
