Default toda vtec killers... why dont they use vtec?

Maybe this is a base question. Ignore my simple mind. Why doesn't toda use VTEC on its vtec killer cams.

thanks

above 8,000 all of the time = no need for low lobes

less moving mass = less friction - faster revs - etc.

It's actually JUN (as far as I'm aware of) that has the VTEC Killers and the reason they don't use VTEC is....when you use VTEC, it's there to seperate different profiles on the cam, the VTEC portion being the more aggressive cam. VTEC Killers basically keep you on the "VTEC" profile and eliminate the need for any type of cam X-over. Basically, they aren't very streetable.

Actually, I believe the VTEC Lobe is ground off, and your always on the base lobe, which is huge...

The point is to get rid of the VTEC System, which lessens rotational masses and weight in the valve train. Enables you to rev higher...(10k+).

I can buy that. Especially since the low lobes on Spec B and C cams are stock VTEC size or so Why even bother with low lobes on a truly race-only cam?

The VTEC Killer kit does come with all the chit to remove the entire system
