'usually' key word
looking through my helms it appears they have the same number of bolts on the flywheel and in the same general location

Clutch failure is usually caused by the frcition disc not having enough material and starts slipping.
Thats all it is basically, a friction material (just like brakes).
I think as long as the friction disc has the same diameter, then i think it would fit.
As for the presure plate, the B series motor have stiffer springs to handle the extra Hps. Therefore, using a presure plate (if it fits) from a less powerful motor is not a good idea.
Friction disk is only $130. Plus machine shop of Flywheel for $35 bucks. 165 bucks total if you do the work yourself and you can beat the crap out of it again.
