Default what to look for in a used S2000?

hey might go check out a s2k. What should i look for? Its at a dealership.

car has 54k, and is a 2002 if i remember correctly. They are asking 18995.

You should have them do a complete diagnostic if it's at a dealer, including leakdown/compression test, ask for service history. Better yet, bring a knowledgeable S owner with you.

This is the car. That link above was great. Thank you.

It seems like a full diagnostic check is warranted, and a good idea. Is the diff whine really that noticable? Would it sound similar to a wheel bearing going?

Since the car is certified, I hope that they will have all the diagnostic info on hand.

Any other suggestions?

Honda should catch the diff if it's going south, plus they have a tinny bitty warranty on it(mine is going to be expires in 7k)

Diff. whine will increase as you speed up, you can't mistake it for wheel bearing(metal noise)

test and see if it's shifting right, see if you could get into reverse when you first start the car cold. Bent shiftfork= Money

BTW silverstone=sexy
