225 / 50 R16 Falken Azenis
Is anyone running a 16'' rims with Azenis on them. If so what size. The guy at the tire shop told me that they won't fit on my car but I do not believe him. I've got AGX/GC suspension setup. ST sway bars, camber kit in front. And I havent had any problems with my previous rim ( fat fives with 205 50's on them. and the second set had 195 /55's.) I'm just looking for pics and advice on a good tire choice for track days, summer performance.
Previous Tire : 205-50-15
Sidewall: 4.0in
Radius: 11.5in
Diameter 23.1in
Circumf: 72.5in
Revs/mi 874.0
New Tire : 225-50-16
Sidewall: 4.4in
Radius 12.4in
Diameter 24.9in
Circumf:78.1 in
Revs/mi: 811
As you can see its nearly 2 inches larger than the Fat five you have now. So you may have to raise your car a little. I currently run 215-50-17 and I'm rubbing very bad. and it makes my 2.4inches larger in diameter than your 205 Fat5's. If you dont want to raise your car I would go with a smaller sidewall size. Keep in mind the sidewall size is a ratio of the footprint. Example, 215-50, 50 Is a ratio of 215 So they vary from footprint to footprint. Hope this helps.

Agreed, I'm going down to 205-40-17, 205-35-17 is pretty much exactly the same size as my old 15'' mr5s, But that tire size is hard to find for a good price.
