Default parts to get?

i have several questions. what is the difference between dual bend and single bend short shifters? would it be a better idea to get aem v2 intake or get a skunk2 intake manifold? or is there something else that would work good? dont wanna hear it if its ebay junk or piping and k &n filter. thx

I wouldn't bother getting the V2 or the S2 intake manifold.

The AEM V2 intake is an overpriced pieced of tubing. Not worth what you gain IMO.

The Skunk2 intake manifold won't do anything for you except make you loose low end power unless you have supporting mods.

The dual bend has 7 bends, and the single bend has 3 bends.

lol. to the OP: I'm not sure if you are confusing the skunk2 intake manifold with an intake, but in case you are, they are 2 diff things. And as far as intakes go, all CAI's are essentially the same (if they have the same pipe diameter) and all SRI's are essentially the same. As stated, the aem v2 is way overpriced and subject to heatsoaking. With intakes, ebay could be a good thing, because it's not something that is really gonna break or fall apart on you. You could always get a cheap ebay CAI and a k&n, injen, aem, or other high quality filter, because that, along with the location of the intake end, is all that determines your performance. Shape does too to a tiny degree, but you WILL NOT notice a difference. As stated, don't bother with a skunk2 intake manifold. So, in answer to your question, neither a skunk2 IM or an aem V2, both are overpriced.

EDIT: just read your last sentence, why wouldn't you want to hear the best cheap alternative? Or are you more concerned with the bling factor than the hp-per dollar?

You could "bolt on" a turbocharger . . . "bolt in" a B-series engine . . . "bolt on" a nitrous bottle . . .

I personally wouldnt even mess with bolt on if you still have the single cam motor...All your doing is wasting you money....there not going to give you any kind of gain...I would just do a swap....B series are a hell of alot better then the single cam....Thats just my thoughts
