Mazworx S14 - 9.35 @ 152 MPH Video
This past weekend we traveled up to New Jersey for the NHRA Englishtown event. Great weekend all around for the Mazworx S14, in 3rd round qualifying Mark ran his personal best of a 9.71 @ 144 mph and ran another 9.71 in the semifinal round.
The finals pitted Mark Mazurowski against Julie Stepan and her WRX. We all knew the S14 has a lot of potential and Mark made a few changes that apparently the car and driver really liked blasting a 9.35 @ 152 mph pass in the finals. Although Mark was just edged by Julie at the finish line I don't think anyone cares right now - finally got the car dialed in to where it needs to be and with the new data that we have compiled the car will only be getting quicker and faster as the season progresses.
This car is in full NHRA Sport RWD Trim - meaning "street" car, full interior with the exception of the back seat, full glass, all lights, windshield wipers, etc work, stock gas tank, car is running on 26 x 11.5 x 15 Mickey Thompson DOT ET Streets
Car Setup:
S14 Chassis - Weighs 2650 with driver
Mazworx 25.4 Spec Funny Car Style Cage
Mazworx Parachute Mount
Mazworx Window Net
SR20DET, stock stroke, 86.5mm bore
Golden Eagle Sleeves
CP Pistons
Supertech Valvetrain
Mazworx Intake Manifold
Greddy Turbo Manifold
Greddy T88 Turbocharger
Motec M880
Mazworx VG to SR Tranmission Adapter Kit with VG 5 Speed Transmission
Tilton Clutch and Hydraulic Release Bearing
Mazworx Carbon Fiber Driveshaft
Mazworx 240sx Complete Race Axle Kit
We aren't 100% sure how much power the car is making as we haven't really dyno'ed the car at all - based on the weight and MPH we would estimate mid 700 whp - this pass was ran at 35 psi (plenty more left in it )

he man that is nice i hope to see you kick some butt out there.
one thing i noticed how your car pulled so hard for the first i guess 330 or so then her car came on then yours came on in the end like a freight train...good race.
maybe a gearing thing did you get a datalog of the run?
did it drop out of boost in second or was this more of an issue with her car you think?
great racing love it.......

sorry but i dont care if you consider this a street car because it has windows and ****... this car is a trailor queen period... you actually have to drive to the track to make it a street car... you civic, nope not driven to the track or home.. your 240 nope not driven to the track either or home... sorry not street cars... sherbaz supra(high 8's)... billett design porsche(low 9's), wolverine(10.0 on low boost), killer b(drives from miami to orlando all the time)(10.9 on pump gas), cft blue and red civics... drive to and from the track and used as bebos daily driver be4 part out.... YOU DO NOT HAVE STREET CARS..... sorry james and john...nothing aginst you guys since both car are SICK but not street cars...
because some choose not to drive there car on the street does not mean it could not be driven on the street.
i seen in nj a couple of years ago a car on the street driving to the track with no exhaust no interior rear floor cut out and a fuel cell , aluminum dashboard.....
that car might be driven on the street but it couldn't even be considered for a street class.....i know of cars that run side pipes out the front bumper on the street....daily driven....still not a street car............
moral of the story a street car is defined by the rules not if its driven on the street

This is every bit a street car as anything else in this town. Half the cars you mentioned are down or appart right now waiting to be put back together, none are "primary transportation" so it really doesn't matter how you get the car to the track, if someone wants to risk their pride and joy driving around on these crazy tourist filled streets best of luck to them.

blablablabla
yeah ok right, i am gonna be nice and not get pissed and start spouting off profanities. this is my take on it, since i run SFWD, i am goin fast enough to break parts, so yes i do trailer my car to the track because i am too broke to pay for a 120 mile tow. and yes my car is driven leisurely. we have all heard this arguement like atleast a quadragillion times. it can be driven on the street, it is a bad *** car, it is turning heads and ripping off nasty times.
mark, it was great to meet you and john at e-town. great job and cant wait to see what happens when you get that thing dialed in.

Quick Change the rules....for SFWD and SRWD. If you drive 10 miles to 25 miles you get spotted 0.05 seconds. Drive 25-50 miles you get spotted 0.10 seconds and additional 0.10 for every additional 50 miles. Added heated leather and you get 1.00 second. If someone else ships the car and you fly in to race its an automatic red light.

whatever red skittle, that's your opinion. however, the reality of the situation is that they are street cars (head lights, taillights, glass, interior, stock tank = STREET TRIM ) great job guys. mazworx
