I know that wilder cams will always lower your compression, but does anyone know if Lifts or Duration that causes decrease in compression?

Duration will reduce cranking compression but will not reduce it when the engine is in the power band of the cams. Lift has nothing to do with it. Dan

When your VE is low so is your dynamic compression, when you operating in the design spec of the cam and head, primary or secondary, and you VE increases so does your dynamic compression. 4-valve motors are known to go above 100%VE, thierfore increasing dynamic compression above static, this happens at peak TQ.
