cusco rollcage
The cage is a bolt in. Just don't take it racing, you'll find out why they call it Crush-co. Get the Safety21 cage, which is racing approved, and costs about the same.

What makes you think the safety21 cage (which is identical to design to cusco... and uses a weaker material) is more safe than the chromoly cusco cage?

where the F do you guys get those false statements....so much misinformation.
-Neither Cusco or Safety 21 cages are FIA certified. They specifically state "NOT FOR USE OUTSIDE OF JAPAN". They all are, however, sanctioned for Japanese races.
-Spoon cage is a Safety21 4 point with harness bar option. Mugen is just plain steel tubing, same 40mm diameter and 2mm thickness.
-There is no difference structurally in RHD and LHD layouts, those cages are bolt in and there is no diagnal bar from driver side to passenger side in the main hoop.
-Materials wise, chromoly is more ductile and has more tensile strength than carbon steel (safety21). Chromoly is carbon steel with chromium and molybdenum added, hence why the higher price. Racing go-karts and aircraft engine mounts are made of Chromoly. Chromoly > Carbon steel > plain steel. I'm not even going to say anything about those POLISHED ALUMINUM Carbing cages.
-The bars will bend before they break those bigass bolts. Think of what deforms first in your suspension when you hit the curb.
-It is not safe to put a roll CAGE in a street driven car unless you have a race bucket, 5 point harness and wear a helmet.

Do any of the aforementioned cages come with plates that mount on the underside of the base plates between the chassis and the base plates? Bolt in cages are fine in my book for racing as long as they are mounted properly.
