Default Need o2 Simulator?

Question: With the new DC Sports 4-2-1 Full cat-delete race header, i wonder if you need an o2 sim to keep from running rich or lean due to the computer realizing theres no cat.
My assumed awnser: Yes, because if no o2 sim is used, it will cause our already crappy motors to run even crappier and **** me off in the process.

Correct me if im wrong... But im assuming with a cat-delete option, the simulator should be purchased in tandem.

I know what youre thinking, "That header isnt street legal, as it deletes the cat out of the exhaust"

After you would have said that, I would have begun laughing, because in TN we dont have emissions testing.Word for living in a state that I can do anything to my car and have no one to awnser to.

IN Essence you are Somewhat right., See you have 2 o2 sensors, which i assume you already know.
1st one is for A/F Control
2nd one is to make sure that the CAT is working.
which is the reason you need an o2 sensor sim so in essence you would not get a Check engine light. That is the purpose of a o2 simulator.

and no the o2 simulator wont make you run lean or rich, its the header that will make you run lean or rich.

Hope that helps with your question

Ok, but with that:

Will the header make the car run rich/lean?
And im assuming the o2 Sim would plug in on the 'after-cat' sensor.

Well the o2 sim goes to the 2nd o2 sensor which really has nothing to do with your car running lean or rich, its there to make sure the cat is working.

as for the race header, dont know if it will make your car run lean or rich alot of variables. just make sure you go get it tuned for performance issues when you do get it.

ure lucky ur in TN. hehe. i have the dcrh too. you do need the casper (but i havent gotten it yet) in order to prevent the the cel from coming on. I know Im not suppose to but I jus reset my ecu every 500 miles or so. It's pretty annoying sometimes bc when the light is on, my car doesn t run as well.

but there is a way to check if your car is runnin to rich or lean. I forgot i think it might be the fuel controller, but Ill have to double check on that. HOpe that helps
