Apexi N1 vs. Greddy EVO2
My brother had the GReddy EVO2 exhaust on his GSR a while back, he has the APEXi N1 exhaust now. Its HUGE and much louder, of course. I've been in his car a couple of times with both exhausts, I must say the N1 sounds better. But gets annoying after long periods cuz its too loud. The EVO2 is alright, its not too loud. But me and my brother both feel the N1 is better for performance and I think we're bias too.

I had an evo2 and thought the sound was perfect... not too loud, nice and deep on downshifts but it flares from a 2.36 inch to a 2.76 inch so id prefer the N1 as for performance... I have a WS2 now and its too quiet, im going to get a louder muffler for it, probly an N1 but i really wanna try a SP2 axleback... N1
also..im runnin this with my b20 motor and im completely in love the exhaust note...seems like you might have a b16/b18cx...when you hit good ol' vtec...ur gunna love the n1...trust me
Cliff: apexi n1 with non vtec motor= the pwnage
apexi n1 with vtec motor= ultra the pwnage

I had to decide with both the greddy and the apexi n1 also i went with the greddy because its deep and not too loud when just cruzin mine is 60-70mm piping. the n1 is nice but attracts more cops because its def louder but i think sounds more raspy when getting in high rpm's. but they are both good exhausts

I agree, the EVO2 has a nice deep tone but it looks dumb as hell with that fat *** canister
I think im gonna get the slightly angled N1 off of my friends

i've had both......and yes, the n1 sounds great in the low/mid range, but as soon as you rip on the throttle, you let out a "can o bees" and the car SCREAMS! Its a pretty awesome sound, especially if you have vtec. As for the greddy evo, it was quieter and a little more restrictive. If cops in your town are **** Holes, then i'd recommend going with a greddy system. (even though I will never run a greddy exhaust system on my car... nothing but problems for me w/ greddy cat back systems
).
).
thanks for the imput guys, i took the evo2 off today and threw on the N1 I got for a bill, looks decent, wish it was a little more angles though
cant wait to hear it tomorrow after i change my head gasket and fre it up

both sound good. N1 is probably louder. My friend had a evo on his gsr.. pretty deep tone. But i prefer a straight through design (n1) over restricted (evo) muffler..

thats what i was thinking.. they both have 2.36 piping and straight through design.. they just sound different (both sound great IMO)

the evo2 is straight through
straight of greddy's site
Inherent in its name, the EVO2 cat-back exhaust system is a huge step forward. In addition to the GReddy straight-through technology, offset tip design and large piping diameters of the original EVO, the EVO2 is now offered in full stainless steel providing improved looks, durability and corrosion resistance while maintaining the best qualities of the original such as fitment, sound and performance.
