Default noob q on springs on stock struts/shocks?

sorry if this is a silly question ..
ive seen a bunch of fg2s dropped on springs but ..
how long will the stock struts/shocks last on aftermarket springs like sportlines or teins?
i always thought they would blow quickly with aftermarket springs

depends on how severe the drop. anything lower than stock will obviously reduce te shock/strut life.

i mean, most springs for the new fgs i see drop the car around 1.2-1.4 inches or so .. how much would that shorten the life of the shocks ?

i guess im asking .. approximately how many miles can you expect to run on stock shocks/struts with a drop of approx. 1.5 inches ?
like, more than 50k, or much less ?

cant ever tell an exact estimate. it all depends on driving habits and the road conditions. youll get a good amount miles out of them though.

Based on my experience with other cars, much less than 50k. I'd say 10k-15k, but YMMV. At least your dampeners are new- on an older car I've seen springs burn out stock units in only a few thousand miles.
