removing the front and rear bumper?
rear one is simple. 2 or 3 screws in the wheel well on each side, one right be low the exhuast curve, maybe another one on the right somewhere. as for the top i dunno, i dont have one on mine
, front...good luck, havent tried that.

it's actually slightly more involved than that (hatchbackwise). aside from the bolts/screws that were mentioned already, you have to unbolt the bumper support/impact beam. there are 4 bolts for that, 2 inside your cargo area, and 2 more underneath the car. same for the front. for the 88-91 body style, the front and rear bumpers are attached to bumper supports/impact beams unlike newer civics which have the bumpers separate from the impact beams. to remove the front, you have to remove the bumper lights and locate the 4 bolts holding up the front (CRX is the same). the remaining bolts are about the same as the rear (as mentioned by "efyou"), just locate them and remove.

Nice find on the bumper removal pic. I was going to take mine off the other day for the sake of it, but got halfway and didnt have a clue where the next lot of screws where, so had to put it all back together again lol.
