squishy brakes? pedal almost to the floor but only sometimes.
this just started happening a few days ago, but im am not sure what causes it some one please help me out. sometimes when im driving and i got to brake the pedal goes almost all the way to the floor. and when i am setting at a light the pedal will slowely go to the floor. it only does this sometimes, but i have almost rearended a few people. This is my only car so i need to fix it asap Could it be air in the lines or do i jsut need new pads? Also i have noticed an excessive amount of brake dust on all four tires.

replace the master cylinder. more than likely it's the seals. bleed brakes, check for bubbles.
