MAIN RELAY problem
ok guys i recently did a swap and now my relay just went bad and i cant start my car.. Does anyone know what can cause my relay to go bad? i need to know so i can check all the possible problem that will lead to a relay going bad.. i dont want it to happen again when i replace it with a new relay..
If something happens to the main relay will your car just not start AT ALL...My car has this problem where it dies. I can be going 40mph with the gas on and it will die or it can die at a stoplight when idle. No amount of time can determine when it will die either, it can be just backing out of the drive way or it can be 20 mins later. Is this the relay? or...
man, i have the same problem! dont know if its the relay cuz i still hear all the clicks, and the fuel pump pumping, but i swapped out my ignition switch and still does the same thing even on da freeway.
I'm not positive but I think relays don't usually go bad unless its hot out or they're really old. But make sure the problem is the relay because I thought it was too but it ended up being something in the ignition harness.
I have like 5 relays I took from the junkyard if any of you need one. $10 shipped

yeah, relays go bad if super old or super hot. mines bound to go pretty soon. mine's 13 years old and it sometime starts and dies. sometimes, if it doesnt want to start, just tap under your kick panel to give the relay a little wake up. then it shoud work. and if it gets worse, just get a new one from honda. they cost about $60.
