When I pulled one of the longer of the 2 rear tranmission mount bolts, it was completely caked with a rustlike material, and I now believe that the whole hole is like that because no bolts will thread. I've driven without this bolt for a few weeks, anybody see anything dagerous about it? When I bought the car, it was loose and not doing anything anyway.

when i left a bolt out of my tranny, the tourque from my motor cracked my tranny housing. it would be best to find something to thread into it. Although i am guessing your motor is stock? It might be ok, but i'd find something
