Default Modifying my new Injen CAI?

Ok so i ordered a CAI and i was wandering... how easy would be just to cut it midway to where you could simply remove a whole section of tubing and add a filter when you wanna run sri but re attach the tubing with couplers for a CAI? I was thinking of leaving the cutting to a machine shop? Has anyone tried this? Should i even attempt it cuz it floods here occasionally and i cant run a straight CAI.... Here is a pic...

thats what i did with my cai when I had one. You just need to buy another coupling to attatch the two pipes to make it a cai again. Make sure you measure it out so you still have room to attatch the filter when you convert it into a sri.

Either get a by-pass valve or put the stock one back on.

bypass valve actually hurts the performance of your car. Its easier/cleaner to just convert it into a sri imo. changing it back to stock causes more work also.
